I have been invited to attend this event at University of Exeter 22nd February 2016 and will be pleased to join the panel which also has Devon & Cornwall Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer (the UK policing lead for modern slavery) and Faye Gould, co-founder of ‘Restore’.

Restore is a south-west of England project that exists to help survivors of human trafficking by guiding them through a process of rehabilitation to a normal, steady life.

Restore is hosting their first Modern Slavery Forum. This event hopes to bring light to the unfolding crisis and ask what can be done to put an end to human trafficking. Join us to find out what modern slavery in the UK looks like, how to spot the signs and what you can do about it.

To help us tackle such a complex issue we have UK experts in the field who have generously made themselves available for both the debate and Q&A:

Chief Constable of Devon & Cornwall Police Shaun Sawyer
National policing lead for modern slavery

Jeff Norman
Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Specialist Advisor

Rober Alexander
Devon & Cornwall leader for Stop The Traffic

Faye Gould
Founder of Restore

Susan Cooper
Exeter University Lecturer in Politics, LLB (Hons), MA

22nd February, 7:00-8:30pm
